As you use Vault, it will begin to anticipate what payment method you want to use, and sort your cards for easy access. Not only does this save you time in the checkout line, you won’t lose that rewards card in cavernous recesses of you wallet.
Easily track your spending and keep track of your budget across multiple accounts. All of this functionality protected securely with your fingerprint. I worked together with the very talented Holly Torneby on this project and was responsible for the user experience, visual and interaction design of the app itself. The final prototype was built in Quartz Composer with Origami.
Honest tales told by imperfection. SCARS is a quarterly magazine that highlights the beautiful flaws that make the world more interesting. All these little imperfections are a unique way to discover how something became the way it is, and who or what made it that way. When creating the look and feel of this magazine, I really wanted to draw attention to the little details in each story and image.
All the brand elements and style were kept very clean and minimal to juxtapose and highlight the rawness of the content. I built a live in-browser website prototype as a place where readers could easily explore their favorite stories even deeper.
Let me introduce you to High Voltage Music Store. It’s a spunky little used music shop that provides straight-up, no BS, ‘for musicians by musicians’ service and is very involved in the local music scene. I really wanted to create a brand that told the story of this shop. High Voltage keeps the music spinning by buying up old, broken, well–used instruments, repairing them, and getting them back out into the world to inspire more musicians.
Like a feedback loop, they create a surge of sound in the Seattle Music scene. This concept of feedback informed my design decisions as I developed a new branding and identity package. I also storyboarded and created some digital screens for a promotional video that tells the circular story of musical creativity.
