Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books. I had the pleasure of designing the whole thing from start to finish. My favorite part was the cover. I wanted to give the book a more grown up look, it was a Jackson Pollock meets Ralph Steadman. I hand lettered the title.
The process was sketching on paper, then scanning into the computer, editing with Photoshop and Illustrator, and then doing the layout in Indesign. The same process was used for the chapter titles in the book. The whole book was designed using a primary text container. Overall it was a fun project because it allowed me to reread this book which had me laughing. I also did most of the printing job before I got it professionally bound.
