Route is a men’s lifestyle and adventure magazine. Chronicling everything from vintage race car builds to old-world heritage and fashion. Route prides itself on giving the audience diverse quality content, unique layouts and visually stimulating images that speak adventure. I’m really drawn to old-world heritage and culture. Infatuated with motorsports, craftsmanship and adventure.
I really wanted to create a publication like no other, for the gentleman with an old soul and an optimistic approach on tackling life’s challenges. This meant utilizing grids and columns to create emphasis on leading the eyes of the viewer and working graphical elements, typography combinations and rich imagery to create a minimal yet beautifully-balanced design.
Researched and designed with a fellow classmate a on-the-go smart lock app for the iOS. Homeowners can arm disarm, lock, unlock and monitor your home at the convenience of you fingertips. MOBILE CONVENIENCE Smart lock works by sending a signal from your phone to your door lock via secured server and a small hub connected to your wireless router.
SAFETY FEATURE All locks come standard with a built in piercing 120dB siren. Quickly monitor & control system and receive notifications instantly! NO SMARTPHONE, NO PROBLEM Smart lock comes with 2 key fobs in case you forget your phone. Enjoy the key-less entry convenience at the touch of your finger tips.
I love package design. The tactile sensation from something tastefully designed is a beautiful feeling. I believe that the design must be as delicious as the product inside. Wan Hua, a company located in the International District of Seattle, contacted me to design their new line of Yakisoba noodles. Their goal is to expand their market to young health conscious professionals and families in need of a quick and healthy meal in under 20 minutes.
Wan Hua wanted a fresh and modern aesthetic approach. We decided on a natural color scheme that included emerald as primary background, pops of red and orange with flourishes of gray to balance out the palette.
