Super Pop is a collaboration between Stylist/Designer Sam Limkriengkrai, Hair and Makeup Artist Erika Seward, SMG Model Heather Dublanko and myself. In this shoot we featured some of Sam’s original work as well as found pieces combined with youthful makeup while utilizing bright color and hard strobe light to create a sense of energy and pop.
This project was shot in the middle of a very damp Seattle winter at a time when we all needed to shake off the lethargy. I hope that this series will bring the viewer the same energy it brought our team.
Idle was shot in collaboration with local red head Nik Vandiver. Styled to reflect late adolescence and the transition from boy hood to man hood. We shot this project on location in a church parking lot in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Washington.
Idle is about loitering, whiling away the time when you’re ready to be heard and make moves in the world but social structures ask you to wait. Idle was shot using all natural light.
Framework was shot on location in Downtown Seattle at the Public Library. It is a collaboration between designer/stylist Sam Limkriengkrai, Hair and Makeup Artist Maya Samaha, SMG model Amelia Yach and myself. The Downtown Seattle Public Library has amazing natural light which I combined with on camera flash for this shoot
We explored the geometry of the Library and the existing shadows to create images that were simple showcasing both the found shapes and the garments themselves.
